Jasper National Park Wood Waste Management

Prairie Creek Energy Services Ltd. has been actively supporting our client in a specialized forestry cleanup initiative within Jasper National Park, focused on the safe and sustainable disposal of burn debris and hazardous trees. This project is part of a broader ecological restoration effort following wildfire activity and forest health assessments.

Using our air curtain burner technology, we provided on-site wood waste processing that aligned with Parks Canada’s environmental standards and Jasper’s unique ecological sensitivities.

Project Scope & Impact:

  • Scale: Processed hundreds of cubic meters of deadfall, hazard trees, and burn debris.
  • Emission Reduction: Achieved up to 90% reduction in particulate emissions compared to open burning.
  • Biochar Production: Generated carbon-rich biochar for potential use in soil restoration and erosion control.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Supported light-on-the-land forestry practices, minimizing disturbance to sensitive habitats and wildlife corridors.

This collaboration highlights Prairie Creek Energy Services Ltd.’s commitment to ecological integrity, wildfire recovery, and sustainable land management in one of Canada’s most iconic national parks.
