Prairie Creek Energy Services Ltd. was proud to support sustainable waste management efforts at The Wetaskiwin Landfill and Transfer Station through the deployment of our air curtain burner (carbonizer) technology. This project focused on the safe and efficient combustion of wood waste, helping reduce landfill volume while minimizing environmental impact.
By utilizing controlled burning methods, we were able to:
- Divert large volumes of untreated wood waste from landfill burial.
- Reduce green house gas emission compared to open burning or decomposition.
- Produce Biochar, a carbon-rich by product with potential agricultural and environmental benefits.
- Support the landfill’s commitment to cleaner, more sustainable operations.
